Men sought in robbery of Elk Grove check cashing business

The Police Service of Elk Grove seeks help from the community to identify two suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday at a check cashing business.

As an employee of Advance America Cash Advance, 5109 Laguna Blvd., Arrived at work at 9:44, she saw two men sweeping the parking area and forward of the company. As the employee unlocked and opened the front door, the men approached her with handguns, according to a police department news.

They ordered the employee to the company and take off the alarm.Once inside, they removed an undisclosed amount of cash drawers and cash safe.

While the robbery was in progress, another employee arrived and was confronted by the suspects, as she entered the business. The two employees were then ordered into a restroom at the rear of the business, and the suspects left on foot. They were last seen running out of the parking lot, according to the news release.

The two employees were not injured.

Officers responding to this flight were unable to locate the suspects.

One of the suspects (above, left) has been described as African American in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He wore a dark hat and sunglasses united, and the lower part of his face was covered with a black bandana with a white dust mask it. He also wore a gray flannel shirt with long sleeves and a white T-shirt, dark blue pants and gardening type gloves. Police said he was armed with a handgun semiautomatic of money.

The other suspect (above, right) was described as African American in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.He wore a white baseball cap and sunglasses, and the lower part of his face also was covered with a black bandanna topped with a white dust mask. He wore a green shirt with long sleeves, dark blue pants and gardening gloves and type was armed with a semiautomatic pistol black and silver.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau (916) 478-8060 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357. Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $ 1 000.Tips can also be sent by SMS text message by typing 274 637 on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 and the message.
